Selangor police chief: 226 students detained for drug offences in first eight months of the year - Nation


SHAH ALAM: A total of 226 students in Selangor have been arrested for drug-related cases in the first eight months of this year. State police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor said the cases involved using and trafficking in marijuana, heroin and methamphetamine. "The popular drugs being trafficked and used are marijuana, heroin and methamphetamine as these are easiest to find," Comm Mazlan told a press conference at Selangor police headquarters on Thursday. Earlier, Comm Mazlan witnessed the disposal of drugs seized from 1990 to 2014. Police also arrested 12,931 people in the first eight months of this year for drug related offences and seized RM73.3mil worth of drugs.
