Saifu has been battling the injury for over a year now. He sustained the injury just days before Ghana’s participation at the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations on home soil. It is, however, unclear how long the former Ghana U20 star will be out for. Salifu last played actively for Turkish club Ümraniyespor in 2017 but has since left the club and is now unattached.
