PAY a visit to PAWS Animal Welfare Society along Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang and one will notice a mobile veterinary clinic parked outside the premises. The fully-equipped RM220,000 mobile clinic was generously donated by Berjaya Corporation founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan’s personal charity arm, Better Malaysia Foundation, in 2013. Thus we were excited when the organisation received the mobile veterinary clinic as this would allow for more of such exercises to be carried out, but our joy was short-lived. It is now a big challenge for them to spay and neuter street dogs. The royal couple had also urged the people not to overlook their responsibility of protecting stray animals, especially cats and dogs.
