"We will award Rs 1 crore to whoever throws Deepika Padukone into a furnace," Singh was heard announcing at the meeting, a video of which has gone viral. Vikram Singh, the in-charge of Junction police station in Bareilly, registered the sedition case on Monday and sent the video clip to his seniors. Bhuvaneshwar told a section of the media before going into hiding that he never spoke against the court order. "I was in pain to hear the Supreme Court order to allow the screening of the movie and had announced self-immolation if it was shown in cinema halls," he said. The sedition case did not appear to deter others from issuing similar threats.
