Security company ready to deploy bomb-sniffing dogs at places of worship - Nation

PETALING JAYA: A licensed security company is ready to deploy bomb-sniffing dogs to any religious institution within 48 hours to beef up security after places of worships were advised to take precautionary measures following bomb blasts in churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. Counterforce Security managing director Kenny Wong said the company could deploy its canine units within 48 hours in peninsular Malaysia. Wong said bomb-sniffing dogs were more effective than electronic bomb searching equipment. If there are new types of synthetic bomb material, we can train the dogs to sniff it out. Wong also urged those who manage places of worship not to be complacent and install their own security measures.
