In the Steve Jobs biopic titled after the famous co-founder of Apple, Jobs (played by Michael Fassbender) triumphantly declares, “Musicians play their instruments. Security operations teams should take a play from Jobs’ orchestration playbook. Machines play the proverbial instruments -- those protection and threat detection systems from which we will glean insights about our security position. Yet it takes security teams an average of 191 days to identify a breach and another 66 days to contain it. Security teams know that every month new vulnerabilities will be announced and new security patches will need to be applied.
