A section of the Ring of Kerry road is closed overnight for works untill December 15Essential repairs to the embankment on the main N70 Ring of Kerry road at Gleensk near the railway viaduct have begun this week and will continue for almost two months. The works are being carried out overnight from 8pm to 7am from Monday to Friday and are scheduled to continue from today, Tuesday 24 until 15 December. Traffic must divert via the N70 Ring of Kerry road for the duration of the works and those diversions will be clearly signposted. Kerry County Council appreciates the patience of all road users while these essential road safety repairs are completed. Cllr Norma Moriarty said that the council looked at all alternatives to minimise the disruption and the road will not be closed by day only in the evening.
