The restriction will remain in force till Thursday evening starting from morning. Sreenagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jaton Marma confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune, saying that: “Momin Ali along with Delowar Hosaain, ex-president and secretary respectively of upazila unit BNP, announced a meeting in Sreenagar bazar area for Thursday to observe the party’s anniversary. On the contrary, newly-elected President Shahidul Islam and Secretary Abul Kalam Kanon also called a meeting there on same purpose.”Apprehending trouble, the administration on Wednesday night imposed the restriction the venue area though it had tried to resolve the crisis through discussion with both sides. Prevailed tense situation compelled to deploy additional police personnel there to prevent any awkward situation.
