The incident occurred at about 11:38 p.m. Friday while President Trump was at the White House, officials told Fox News. The Secret Service said Saturday the unidentified individual was carrying a backpack and was arrested near the White House residence without further incident. The story was reported first by CNN, which also said the intruder got close to the White House’s south portico entrance, near the Washington Monument. The Secret Service also said a search of the south and north grounds of the White House complex found "nothing of concern to security operations."
