Second suspect arrested in deadly east-end Toronto shooting

A second suspect wanted in connection to a homicide in the city’s east end was arrested Friday, Toronto police say. Chelsey Mais, 29, of Toronto, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, police said in a news release Saturday. Nicholas Hirsch, 26, of Toronto was charged with first degree murder. Police said on July 7, first responders were called just after 8 p.m. to an alleyway near the rear parking lot of 1910 Gerrard St. E, near Woodbine Avenue. There, police said officers found a woman, who was later identified as 32-year-old Megan Elizabeth Crant, suffering from serious injuries.
