Following the court appointment of a specialist medical team, the second postmortem was conducted on the remains of the teenage domestic worker who was employed at MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s residence. The procedure which took place yesterday (31), was conducted over a period of 9 hours at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital. Police Media Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the forensic team carried out a CT Scan to look for internal injuries, fractures in the body. He said, “The post-mortem examination was carried out at length, and samples were taken from various parts of the body. After receiving all this, a full report will be issued.”The body will remain in the mortuary of the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital until the report is issued, the Senior DIG said.
