Mayor Adanech commended the Diaspora for their active participation in national development activities and highlighted their contributions to projects like the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). She emphasized the Diaspora’s unique position to advocate for preserving and promoting Ethiopia’s history and culture. Minister Nasisie applauded the Diaspora for responding to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s call to return and contribute to Ethiopia’s progress. She specifically encouraged second-generation Diaspora to learn about their Ethiopian roots, experience the country’s culture, and understand its history.
