For some perspective, there are three PSA 10 1952 Topps Mantles out of 1,595 cards, each estimated to be worth $10 million. The average price for a mint PSA 9 1969 is merely $9,000 (population: 61), according to Vintage Card Prices. PSA’s Set Registry, where collectors compete to complete the highest graded sets, lists the top five “All-Time Finest” 1969 Topps sets. Only one owner, the second ranked, boasts a PSA 10 Mantle.
