DHAKA, Oct 19, 2024 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today said a search committee will be formed soon to reconstitute the Election Commission (EC). He made the announcement during dialogues with political parties held at State Guest House Jamuna here today. Briefing reporters at Foreign Service Academy here this evening about the outcomes of the dialogues, Chief Adviser's Personal Assistant Mahfuj Alam said as per the rules, the search committee will be formed with six members. The special assistant said the political parties joined the dialogue today demanded the ban of Awami League and its alliance parties. The advisers' council, led by Chief Adviser Prof Yunus, held dialogues with some political parties on continuation of its new round of political dialogue.
