The coastal belt of Thrissur has been facing the fury of the sea for the past three days, with heavy rain lashing the district. In all, 423 people, including 29 children from 117 families, have been shifted to relief camps in Kodungallur. Demand for sea wallsPeople are being shifted from the flood-hit areas in Kadappuram panchayat. People have been advised to vacate houses in the coast at Kadappuram panchayat. Areas from Thottappa to Munakkakadavu too face sea erosion.
