Rare will be taking Sea of Thieves servers offline for maintenance from 9:00 AM GMT -- 2:00 PM GMT, or 5:00 AM EST -- 10:00 AM EST. It's the first of two upcoming server maintenance period, the second of which will be coming on Tuesday, March 27. Sea of Thieves has had some technical problems at launch due to a massive influx of players -- 1 million in the first 48 hours, according to the developer. Rare temporarily suspended new players joining the game near launch, but problems continued after that.
