Cedric de Joya powered Batangas in the losing cause with his 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Jorey Napoles orchestrated the opening day win with his 25 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks as the Skippers started their campaign on a good note. Irvin Palencia carried AMA with 18 points, six assists, and three rebounds in the defeat.
