Scottish Greens councillor blasted for 'sowing division' over bid to block Israel women's football team from playing in Scotland

A Scottish Greens councillor has been accused of "sowing division" and "politicising" the war in Gaza by the Israeli Embassy in London. Glasgow representative Holly Bruce has called for the women's football game between Scotland and Israel at Hampden to be blocked. A statement from the embassy said: “We are pleased that Hampden Park and the Scottish Women’s National Team will play host to Israel’s Women’s National Team later this month. Numerous pro-Palestine rallies have been held in Glasgow since then, with another one expected outside Hampden. Only Scotland supporters' club members or those who have attended any of Scotland women's past four home matches can buy tickets.
