“I can only take responsibility for what I knew about.”That comment came from Scott Israel, sheriff of Broward County, Florida, where the Parkland high school shootings occurred on Valentine’s Day. Sheriff Israel has been front and center with the media since the shooting. Reports since have surfaced the school resource officer, as well as possibly other police officers, did not enter Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. Governor Rick Scott of Florida called for the head of the FBI, Christopher Wray, to resign. As soon as something tragic, like a school shooting occurs, we look to point the finger.
