London (CNN) Scottish police confirmed that a body found near South Queensferry is that of missing Frightened Rabbit lead singer Scott Hutchison. The body was recovered at Port Edgar, west of Edinburgh, about 8:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. EDT) on Thursday, police said in a statement to CNN. Hutchison's family was "utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Scott," according to a statement. "Despite his disappearance, and the recent concerns over his mental health, we had all remained positive and hopeful that he would walk back through the door, having taken some time away to compose himself," the family said. Hutchison, 36, was last seen on video footage after leaving the Dakota Hotel in nearby South Queensferry at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, according to police.
