Ayr United have appointed Scott Brown as their new manager. Brown guided Fleetwood to a club-record FA Cup run last season - and he will be looking to cause a major upset when he arrives in Govan. He makes the move alongside Steven Whittaker - who was in his backroom team at Fleetwood. Chairman David Smith said: "I am delighted to welcome Scott and Steven as the new management team. "We are delighted to secure their services and are very much looking forward to working with them going forward."
