The Scotland manager is due to attend Hearts' last four clash with Inverness on Saturday followed by Aberdeen's tie with Celtic on Sunday. McLeish's position as boss has been subject of intense speculation after Scotland made a terrible start to their Euro 2020 campaign by losing 3-0 in Kazakhstan. And McLeish is understood to be planning ahead for the double header against Cyprus and Belgium in June. McLeish is believed to feel subsequent criticism has been over the top from quarters who always wanted Michael O'Neill to be Gordon Strachan's successor as Scotland boss instead. But the SFA board — scheduled to meet at Hampden on April 18 — could yet take a different perspective.
