A large swath of Manitoba, including the entire south and much of the eastern half, is getting blanketed with heat. A hot air mass is being ushered into Manitoba beginning Friday and will settle over the area throughout the weekend. The Red River Valley, Interlake and eastern portions of the province are expected to be under the heat wave well into the middle of next week. Winnipeg is looking at a high around 29 C on Friday while the forecast high of 33 C on Saturday could feel more like 38 with the humidity. From Victoria Beach to Bissett, the forecast is for highs between 30 C and 32 C throughout the coming week.
