Scientists are prepared to pay 24 volunteers £3,500 (R73 400) to be willingly infected by the coronavirus. These variations of the disease, labelled 0C43 and 229E, will cause mild respiratory symptoms and will be less severe, writes Mirror Online. Nurses and doctors involved in the study will be required to wear ventilators and protective clothing while working in the lab.
