Scientists in Iceland turn carbon dioxide into stone to combat climate change : FYI, News

In a unique experiment, scientists turned carbon dioxide into a stone by pumping it with water underground. "Carbon capture is not the silver bullet, but it can contribute significantly to reducing carbon dioxide emissions," Juerg Matter of the University of Southampton told AP. In this two-year project, Scientists found a way to turn heat-trapping carbon dioxide into rock. One of the methods to battle climate change, in addition to reducing fossil fuel emissions, is to capture carbon dioxide from the air and turning it into rock. Carbon dioxide is a huge menace and probably the only way to fight it is to bury it as deep as possible.
