more-inPeople across the State got to view the spectacular celestial event in several places on Wednesday though cloudy skies played spoil sport. The Tamil Nadu Science Forum organised gathering and also offered binoculars and telescopes to help people witness the event. The Forum’s state secretary Udayan said “We organised gatherings in over 100 places across the State for people to view the total lunar eclipse, super moon and the blue moon. In Chennai, hundreds of people gathered at Thiruvanmiyur beach, Royapuram and Kovilancheri near Medavakkam.”Members of the Forum clarified doubts raised by the residents on what is a super moon and blue moon. They also offered tea to bust the myth on eating during the eclipse, said Mr.Udayan.
