The Patna University hostel on the Saidpur campus The woes for Patna's proposed Science City never seem to end. The university has, however, claimed that seven acres of the 20.48 acres allotted for the Science City - to be named after late President APJ Abdul Kalam - is its land. The university has decided to file an affidavit in Patna High Court seeking intervention in transfer of its land at the Saidpur campus for the Science City. Vivekanand, the lawyer representing Patna University, said: "The varsity administration is going to file an affidavit or an interlocutory application in a couple of days seeking a stay on the construction of the Science City on Patna University land. Canada's Lord Cultural Resources has prepared the master plan for the Science City project.
