MANILA, Philippines — Some of the country’s top schools are gearing up for the opening of classes this August with varying strategies to cope with the new normal. All units under the University of the Philippines (UP) system, all courses in the first semester shall be delivered remotely. University of the East said the school year both for undergraduate and graduate students at its Manila and Caloocan campuses would start on Aug. 5. Richard Ang said they will start classes on Aug. 13 with the semester ending on Dec. 18. The official learning management system of the Loyola Schools will be Canvas.
