Schools directed to ensure ‘no outsiders’ enter premises


The circular, issued by the Special Director of Education Binay Bhushan, has listed the checks that need to be followed by the school. It has said that “police verification of all outsourced staff working in the school/office needs to be made by the employer concerned”. Illegal occupancyIt has also mandate that a cross-check is carried out by the school authorities to ensure that no illegal occupancy is taking place in the school/office premises. The schools have been instructed to check all almirahs, shelves in classrooms as well as locked rooms in the school to ensure that no dangerous items are stored. Recently, in a midnight raid led by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at an east Delhi school, it was found the school guard had been renting out classrooms at night.
