A schoolgirl who was found hanged in a hedgerow told a teacher how her stepfather had woken her at 1.30am to make her mop the floor, an inquest has heard. The hearing previously heard how Amber Peat fell out with her parents after rows over domestic chores and had struggled with the demands of growing up at home. On one occasion, she claimed she had been been awoken by her stepfather at 1.30am and told to mop floors as a punishment for failing to fulfil domestic chores. Mrs Beard told the inquest: 'Amber said her dad wanted to humiliate her and get every one to laugh at her.' Ellen Chapman, an inclusion support worker at Queen Elizabeth School, told the hearing that one of her role's was to help students with behavioural issues.
