The body of Nayon Hawladar, 15, a student of Bamrail AB Secondary School of the district's Wazirpur upazila, was recovered from the river, said Babuganj police station's officer-in-charge Dibakar Chandra Das. The body has been sent to Sher- E-Bangla Medical College and Hospital morgue in Barisal for autopsy, he added. Nayon was chopped to death and thrown to Sandhya River packed in a sack after his family members did not respond to a ransom of Tk2 lakh demanded by his kidnappers. No case has been filed yet, OC Dibakar remarked.
