The victim, Md Hasan, was a candidate of this year's Junior School Certificate. The student of Islambagh Ideal School lived with his family at Hajji Rahim Baks Lane. His father Mohammad Ali told bdnews24.com that Hasan went out with his friends on Friday afternoon. His friends took him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 4am on Saturday. The station's OC Shamimur Rashid Talukder said, "We've initially come to know that the murder took place following a dispute over seniority.
