Rao Danish Ali, a teacher working at the ABK High School inside Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Aligarh on Wednesday (December 24, 2025) night, police and university officials said. Ali, a computer science teacher, had been teaching at the school for the past 11 years. Ali was out on his routine evening walk when two men on a scooter stopped him and allegedly threatened with pistols. “Danish Rao, a teacher at the ABK School, was shot in the head and later died at the medical college,” said Mohammad Wasim Ali, Proctor of the university. “Law and order situation in the State has fully collapsed.
