Freyberg High School students laid stones in a heart shape during a memorial service yesterday for the Christchurch shootings. Palmerston North's Freyberg High School is creating a diversity memorial to remember the victims of the Christchurch shooting. More tributes flowed as Freyberg held a memorial service on Thursday for the Christchurch victims and to show support for the Muslim community. There was a karakia, a school waiata, speeches, an Islamic prayer and then students laid five white stones in a heart shape. Pahīatua's Tararua College also held a fundraiser on Wednesday, while Palmerston North Girls' High School and Palmerston North Boys' High School have been selling black ribbons as fundraisers.
