The state government, on Tuesday, said the lower cut-off for the school fees will be declared on Wednesday, following the Supreme court order. Once the revised lower cut-off will be declared, against that mentioned in the Act, Rs 15000, Rs 25000 and Rs 27000 for primary, secondary and higher secondary schools respectively, schools that wish to charge more than the cut-off will submit their proposals to the fee regulatory committee. The SC had said that the state government shall carry out the exercise of fixing exemption limit. The state shall mention the norms by which the various factors suggested by the citizens for fixing the exemption limit will be taken into account.
