Concerned parent Elina Kiuru, supported by children and staff at Clyde School, attended yesterday’s council meeting to present their petition, signed by 175 people, calling for a reduced speed limit. The group cycled on the Otago Central Rail Trail to the meeting. ‘‘We felt very welcome and there were so many people there, they had to get more seats,’’ Dr Kiuru said. Central Otago Mayor Tim Cadogan thanked the school’s representatives for presenting the petition.
