It was a bitter pill to swallow for Annette Gould after her operation at Nelson Hospital was cancelled after a 5-hour wait. Annette Gould had been waiting hours at the hospital for her scheduled surgery, when she was finally told she would not be going into theatre. Gould arrived at Nelson Hospital at 7.30am that day to have a small tumour on her bladder removed. Braden Fastier/Stuff Gould was not alone that day, with another woman waiting with her having her hip replacement surgery cancelled. The average per month cancelled after admission during the 12 months was 14 at Nelson Hospital and nine at Wairau Hospital.
