Packers rookie coach Matt LaFleur has been given a golden opportunity to change that. Green Bay’s schedule was released Wednesday and the Packers should have a terrific chance to storm out of the gates. The Packers then finish the year with road games at Minnesota and Detroit. LaFleur, the 39-year-old, offensive guru, will have a chance to do what no Packers’ coach since Vince Lombardi has done — and that’s start fast. In 1959, Lombardi’s Packers won their first three games of the season, something no Green Bay team had done since 1944.
