[score][team1]Scarlets[/team1][score1]23[/score1][team2]Leinster[/team2][score2]21[/score2][/score]Scarlets held on to win an intense, hard-fought Guinness PRO14 clash against champions Leinster at Parc y Scarlets. Rhys Ruddock of Leinster is tackled by Scarlets players, from left, Kieron Fonotia, Rob Evans and Jake Ball. It was the first time the two sides had met since Scarlets lost to Leinster in last season's grand final. Scarlets were boosted by the inclusion of Wales quartet Halfpenny, Jake Ball, Samson Lee and Hadleigh Parkes. Scarlets did edge back into the lead from a Halfpenny penalty in front of the posts after a Ruddock high tackle on Blake Thomson.
