Scapolo all class for Kevin Myers in Sweynesse StakesTrish Dunell Scapolo arrives wide out on the track to win the Group III Sweynesse Stakes at Rotorua,Scapolo had the wins on the board and the class to prevail in the Group III Sweynesse Stakes (1215m) at Rotorua on Saturday. Myers bought the off The Oaks Stud at the 2011 Karaka Select Yearling Sales for his owners paying just $40,000. Like Maygrove, winner of the Listed Jakkalberry Stakes earlier in the day, he is the product of a mare by the great sire Zabeel. Spratt has rarely teamed up with Myers, but they have an outstanding strike rate together with three wins from five starts. The Myers stable made it two for the day when Third Time Lucky won the final race on the day.
