Turkey's president won't confirm reports prominent journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing after reportedly visiting the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, was killed by a murder squad, but calls the disappearance "very, very upsetting". HASAN JAMALI/AP Turkish investigators had concluded that Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the consulate by a murder squad sent from Saudi Arabia. EMRAH GUREL/AP Turkish investigators concluded that Khashoggi, who has criticised the Saudi leadership, was killed in the Saudi consulate by a team sent from Saudi Arabia, reports say. Turkish officials further concluded that his body was probably dismembered, and removed in boxes and flown out of the country. Early on Monday (NZT), official Saudi Press Agency released a statement saying that an unidentified official at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul had dismissed the reports that Khashoggi was killed there.
