On June 6, 2023, U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken visited Saudi Arabia and met with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan. [1] According to other reports, Blinken and the Saudi officials also discussed the issues of normalization with Israel and of human rights in Saudi Arabia. He added that the partnership with the U.S. remained strong, but that Saudi Arabia would develop its partnership with China as well. As for human rights, he stressed that Saudi Arabia would not respond to pressures.
