ISLAMABAD: Newly-appointed Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud landed in Islamabad on Thursday on his day-long, maiden visit to the country. Upon his arrival at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) office, he was received by the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Radio Pakistan reported. He is expected to call upon Prime Minister Imran Khan later in the day. This will be the first visit by Al-Saud since he assumed office in October. According to reports, which cited diplomatic sources, the purpose of the trip is to thank Prime Minister Imran for not attending Kuala Lumpur Summit which was held in Malaysia earlier this month.
