Several homes in and around Monrovia and its environs were devastated by the down pour of heavy rains which concomitantly came with thunderous storms with many of its victims spending sleepless nights at their devastated homes. As a result of this thunderous storm, many houses were seen without roofs; while trees were forcibly pull out of the ground damaging several nearby houses, while others who had their vehicles parked in their yards were also the victims of the Saturday night storm. A team of GNN-Liberia who toured the city of Monrovia and its environs early today said they saw dozens of residents outdoor re-roofing their respective houses that were hard hit as a result of the storm. The damages done by the storm was not only restricted to private homes, but also damaged some light poles making some community to spend their nights in darkness, while some advertising sign boards planted by businesses for commercial purposes were also knocked down by the storm.
