Latest data shows most of these storms will stay to our west (NYC, Long Island, western CT). The main concern with any storms that move through this afternoon will be heavy downpours, dangerous lightning and gusty winds. Unfortunately, we’re continuing to track a batch of showers and thunderstorms moving towards southern New England. However, if you’re headed to the RI Air Show and the Quonset Air National Guard base, you’ll want to bring rain gear, and keep an eye out for approaching storms. We’ll stay on alert into this evening for potentially an additional ISOLATED thunderstorm.
