The 31-year-old, who won her 100th ODI cap at the recent ICC Women's World Cup, also became just the second player ever to score four consecutive ODI centuries, joining the illustrious company of Sri Lankan great, Kumar Sangakkara. Satterthwaite, who is currently captaining the Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL, said it was a special moment to be recognised as the best women's ODI player in the world. Satterthwaite was runner-up for the supreme award, the inaugural Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year, which went to Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry.
