According to the Ministry, during the recent assessment of the preparations, Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen praised the efforts made in recent weeks and urged for the completion of the preliminary program, without neglecting any detail. “We must rise to the occasion. The summit will be held when we are emerging from a challenging situation,” Mekonnen commented in reference to the implementation period of the agreement to restore peace in the nation’s northern region.
