Photo: Sean NugentYesterday marked 60 years since Wanaka-based the Rev Winton Davies was ordained into the Anglican Church, giving him the opportunity to look back on a remarkable career. "It seems to have gone by pretty quickly, but I can look back on it with a lot of satisfaction," he said. Originally from Lower Hutt, Mr Davies was ordained on St Thomas’ Day, December 21, 1957, at Old St Paul’s Cathedral, in Wellington. In 1966, he received a Winston Churchill Fellowship to study overseas and contribute to life in New Zealand.
