Sasse calls out feds for lack of 'urgency and seriousness' early in coronavirus pandemic

The federal government should have acted with "more urgency and seriousness" in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., told Fox News Radio's “Guy Benson Show” Wednesday. In early February, Trump acknowledged that the coronavirus was "deadly stuff," even as he publicly compared it to the flu. A month later, Trump told Woodward that he "wanted to always play it [coronavirus] down." “Tens of thousands of Americans have died from the virus," Sasse went on.
