Former NFL quarterback Vince Young is on his way to Regina to finalize a contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. TSN’s Gary Lawless, posting on Twitter, says a news conference could be called as early as Thursday with Young in attendance. Saskatchewan has been looking for a starting quarterback since trading veteran Darian Durant’s rights to the Montreal Alouettes in January. Young enjoyed a banner career at the University of Texas, leading the Longhorns to the national championship in the 2006 Rose Bowl. Young currently works for the University of Texas promoting diversity and community engagement.
